The Zambia Association of Arbitrators was founded in 2000 to provide a member organization for practicing arbitrators, conciliators and mediators. One of its main objectives is to promote and facilitate the determination of disputes by alternative means of dispute resolution, conciliation and mediation where appropriate.
The Association has been recognized by the Minister of Legal Affairs as an arbitral institution.
There is an Executive Committee compromised of President - Nicola Ann Sharpe-Phiri ; Vice President - Frederick Shabani Mtamira; Honarary Secretary - Gertrude Mukata-Musyani; Honarary Treasurer - Emelda Mwenya

The current Membership of the Association is 60 Members and the members are drawn from various disciplines, including but not limited to accountancy, law, architecture, engineering, construction, surveying, banking and the business community in general. |
